Let me tell you about this app.
Why I made this.
In the Spring of 2009, I was looking for my new town commuter bike on the Net.
I was interested in bikes which have a geared-hub (ie. shimano Inter-8).
But it was hard to see at local bike store because geared-hub was not conventional so far.
I know buying bike online “before see it” is little risky.
It is difficult to choose right size without test ride.
So I stopped to buy, and I began to design this app for me.
I see, this app needs more improvement.
The efficiency of this app is depend on the precision of bike’s geometry sheet.
But bike’s geometry spec sheet is not standardized. So some bike maker provides nearly parfect sheet, and some maker provide really simple. Unfortunately if the bike you wished has simple one, I am sorry I can not help you. If you need some missing values, please ask bike maker. You may get answers.
Anyway, I know that I should to make this app more useful. I wrote to-do list, please check it.
To Do:
- Add, Edit and Delete a Body or a Bike can be done directly in “Fitting view”.
- Sharing bike geometry data among users (without copyright violation).
- Assistance to input a missing value.
- Handle-bar painter and down-tube painter.
- Sexy UI!
